Supplies for the Gluten-Free Cupcake Party, provided by The National Foundation for Celiac Awareness, Pamela's Products, and Ohm Dog.

The National Foundation for Celiac Awareness (NFCA) and Pamela's Products have come up with a fun way to increase awareness about celiac disease and raise money for research –- and as an added bonus, it’s a kid-friendly activity and a chance to show that gluten-free baked goods can be tasty and fun. Invite your friends or your child’s friends over for a gluten-free cupcake party.

You can learn more about it on the Pamela's Products site, but basically, here's how it works. First, sign up at least 3 weeks in advance of when you want to have the party. After you sign up, the NFCA will contact you to help arrange the details of your party and answer any questions you may have.

Then, invite 12 friends over to decorate cupcakes, and ask them to bring a $15 donation to the NFCA when they come to the party.

Pamela’s Products will send you a Cupcake Party Baking Kit (with three different cupcake mixes and three frosting mixes). They’ll also send you take-home gifts for the adults, including spatulas, whisks, and frosting spreaders.

Finally, on the day of your party, take pictures! The NFCA is asking each host to submit photos and an event recap for publication in the NFCA's newsletter and on its website.
