Crispy, Chewy Gluten-Free Kale Snack (Or Side Dish)

You'll be amazed at how crispy, crunchy and addictive this kale snack can be!

Turn super-healthy kale into your favorite snack with this easy recipe, for a crispy, chewy, naturally gluten-free treat that's quick, easy, and inexpensive.

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 12 minutes

Total Time: 17 minutes


  • 1 bunch of kale
  • Cooking spray
  • Salt


1. Preheat oven to 375 F.

2. Separate the leaves of the kale from the tough stems, tearing the larger leaves into smaller pieces. (Throw out the stems.) Wash the leaves and drain them, but don't worry about drying them.

3. Place the leaves on a cookie sheet, and spray lightly with cooking spray. Sprinkle with salt.

4. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes or until the edges of the leaves are turning brown. (For a chewier snack, bake 10 to 12 minutes. For a crispier snack, bake 12 to 15 minutes.)

5. Serve hot, warm, or cold. They're also good the next day.
