I'm one of those people who likes Brussels sprouts in any form, but I am married to a guy who swore to me that he would never like them. With this recipe, I made him into a happy Brussels Sprouts eater! These little veggies, which look like miniature cabbages, are extremely rich in nutrients and fiber. Try this quick and easy recipe and see whether you can convert your family into Brussels sprouts fans.
Prep Time: :10
Cook Time: :10
Ingredients:
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup julienne-cut carrots (thin slices will work fine too)
  • 2 cups Brussels sprouts, cut into quarters
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • dash of pepper
Preparation:
1. Heat the oil in a frying pan. Add the carrot and saute for 5 minutes on medium heat.

2. Add the Brussels sprouts and saute for another 5 minutes, or until they're crisp and tender.

3. Add the sugar, salt and pepper. Cook another few seconds, stirring constantly, until the sugar melts and coats the vegetables.

4. Serve warm.
