Today is the Fourth of July, and I hope you all are happy, healthy and gluten-free as we celebrate our independence.
Many are probably planning a barbeque or picnic (perhaps to watch tonight's fireworks?). If that describes you -- and if you need some advice about how to keep your celebration gluten-free -- check out my Gluten-Free Barbeque Guide, which covers it from the charcoal to the marshmallows.
If you're planning to play with fire, er, fireworks, some basic safety rules can keep you (and your kids) safe. Dr. Vince Iannelli, About.com's excellent Guide to Pediatrics, explains what you need to know in his article on Fireworks Safety.
Finally, if you want to learn something about the American Revolution itself, check out American History Guide Martin Kelly's article on Causes of the American Revolution -- it's extremely informative and a great read, too.
Have a wonderful Fourth of July!
