See's Candies: Vast Majority are Gluten-Free

Wednesday July 8, 2009
See's Candies, which makes more than a hundred different sweet confections, now publishes allergen information for all of its products. I know about this because their Direct Marketing Manager sent me a nice note:

We certainly understand the importance of dietary needs to our customers, and as such have recently added detailed allergen information to our Website....Specifically I would like to call your attention to the list of candies WITH gluten at the bottom of the page. As the vast majority of our candies to not contain gluten, we felt it would be easier to list only the candies that do include gluten or are made in a facility that produces products that may contain gluten. All of our other candies are 100% gluten free.

Every page of the See's Candies website has a link on the bottom to the Allergen List.

I'm happy to add this company's products to my list of gluten-free candies. The more companies publish their allergen information, the better for customers everywhere.

That’s fantastic! I’ve been checking their website every few months to see if they have lists yet!
