This coming week is one of the best times of the year for finding gluten-free food in your grocery store or online. The Jewish holiday of Passover, which starts on Wednesday night, forbids consumption of wheat, oats, barley, and rye in any form other than matzoh, so supermarkets and online vendors stock gluten-free Passover specialty items that are only available once a year.

Not all Passover products are gluten-free, however. Products that contain matzoh in any form are not safe for celiacs. Take a look at our guidelines for finding once-a-year gluten-free Passover food in your supermarket.

Also be sure to look at our gluten-free Passover recipe round-up, with ideas from About.com and around the Web.
