Can Your GPS Find Gluten-Free Restaurants?

If you have a Garmin™ or Navman™ satellite navigation system (also known as a global positioning system, or GPS), the Gluten Free Registry™ is selling GPS navigation gluten-free point-of-interest downloads.

You tell them which state(s) or Canadian province(s) you want information for, and they’ll send you CSV-formatted files for you to install. (For installation, you’ll need to follow the instructions provided by the manufacturer of your GPS.) Then, as you drive around, a GF icon will appear when a registered gluten-free friendly business is nearby.

Even if you don’t have a GPS, the Gluten Free Registry™ has a free online database of more than 12,000 celiac-friendly restaurants, bakeries, caterers, grocers and more. I’ve added them to my list of online and printed gluten-free restaurant directories.
